Japanese flower arrangement(Kado) puts plant materials such as a flower or a tree together and constitutes it, and it is "Ikebana" which is art to appreciate. Japanese flower arrangement is art of Japanese origin, and it opens globally.


Kado was established in the days of Muromachi at the middle by a priest of Kyoto hexagon temple. And the flower arrangement changed into a taste of the common people from an upper class of then widely in the latter period from the Edo middle.

Kado was introduced to Europe thanks to a global Japanese culture boom in the days of early period of Meiji from Edo last years. Kado affected European flower arrangement as technique of line arrangement.
